The Jr. Counselors Club of Baton Rouge was created under the National Federation of Music Clubs Festivals program and is designed to promote study, stimulate interest in American and world music literature, and encourage each participant to reach a high standard of musical achievement.
Festivals is not a competitive event. It is designed to give students an opportunity to perform and receive evaluation. This gives each student a goal and a chance to get recognition of their achievement for that year. An evaluation is given each year and a trophy is presented at 3 year intervals for superior performances.
We welcome all teachers to join and participate.
The first meeting this school year will be held September 9, 2015, at O'Neill's Music, located at 10689 Perkins Road, Baton Rouge, La. 70810, near the Bluebonnet intersection. We will meet for coffee at 9:30 at O'Neill's before the meeting begins. Please join us!
